Madness Perfected

The heater drones quietly constant
With dogs sleeping still in the dust
At 2 am all seems peaceful and reverent
Night’s too dark for one’s eyes to adjust

It’s the nonsensical plight of a writer
Stealing unknown time from the world
While normals sleep peacefully out there
Words scream sagas, arrangements absurd

Stories singing, dancing and laughing
Creating tragic twists and sojourns
From an insatiably ravenous longing
While ever changeable characters churn

There’s developing backstory breaks
Choking through reasons to breathe
A Pulitzer hope causes aches
For new worlds for us to retrieve

With bestselling goals absolute
Life continues bleakly neglected
An author’s path of servitude
Often leads to madness perfected

I am a Psychologist in training, who happens to bathe in a sea of thoughts and words. Consider me a mermaid of the mind. My favorite word is ACCEPTANCE, because it allows forgiveness, balance and the right of everyone to just "Be who you be!" I am well known to an elite few, but quickly becoming a much respected famous secret. I believe, say, and support the following quote: "A world that seeks & supports balanced mental health is a world worth living in" --B.Berry
