In Less Than 21 Months

My last mom (step) always used to greet me by taking my face in her hands

Then she would kiss both my cheeks or eyes or forehead

It was the first time anyone greeted me in this fantastic almost fantasy way I held for how a mother would embrace their children. Thirty years ago this incredibly spiritual and sweet Canadian woman became the last mom I would have in this lifetime and yesterday she passed away. I’ve lost my dad, step-brother, Mom’s best friend (Cherished aunt), my mom, my step-mom… in less than 21 months. It’s like a bad joke, but unfortunately real. I feel love for them all always in all ways…may they all be enjoying the better life without physical imperfections and restrictions.
